Privacy Policy

This is a static website. It has no accounts, no login, no comment system, and no newsletter. There is very little data to collect, and this page describes all of it.

What I collect directly

Nothing. I don't run analytics, I don't set cookies of my own, and there is no form on this site that asks you for anything.

If you email me, I have your email address and whatever you put in the message. I keep that only as long as needed to deal with it, and I don't add you to any list or share it with anyone.

What my hosting provider processes

This site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes the technical information your browser sends in order to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse. That typically includes your IP address, browser and device type, the page requested, and the time of the request.

I don't have access to individual visitor records, and I don't use this information to identify anyone. It's handled under Cloudflare's privacy policy.

Advertising

This site does not currently serve advertising, and no advertising or tracking cookies are set.

I intend to fund the site through advertising in future. If and when that happens, this page will be updated before any ads appear, with full detail on the cookies involved and how to opt out.

Links to other sites

Articles link out to source documents, filings, and other websites. Once you follow a link, that site's privacy policy applies, not this one. I have no control over what they collect.

Children

This site is written for an adult audience and is not directed at children under 13. I don't knowingly collect information from children.

Your rights

Depending on where you live — including under the GDPR in the EEA and UK, and under state privacy laws in the United States — you may have the right to request access to personal data held about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to or restrict its processing, and to receive it in portable form.

In practice I hold almost nothing: unless you have emailed me, I have no personal data about you at all. If you have, you can ask me to delete it and I will.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page changes with it. Material changes — particularly the introduction of advertising or analytics — will be made here before the change takes effect on the site.
